Description:
This Webinar presents topics of TBI care in austere and/or combat environments. The primary discussion will be the challenges and complexities of delivering TBI care in these environments based on the availability or absence of diagnostic and treatment technologies for modern TBI care, but also patient-oriented complexities in these environments. The webinar will also feature a discussion of the new “Military Traumatic Brain Initiative” research team at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, with updates on current research projects as well as future areas of interest. Given the recent discussions of blast injury-related neurodegeneration, TBI care in the military as well as TBI care in austere environments will provide relevant discussion of current topics of interest in this growing area of TBI care.
